Basically, they have made it possible to see where, and how, the events in the pathway unfold within the cell, and seeing is believing, as the old saying goes. |
Effects of BT cotton on various insect pests
The cotton bollworm, Helicoverpa armigera (Hubner), is one of the most devastating pests of cotton, cereals, and food crops worldwide. Farmers control this pest through chemical means, but indiscriminate use of these control methods can also lead H. armigera to develop resistance to insecticides. |
