This TA project will strengthen capacity and regional cooperation for the safe use of advanced agricultural science and technology and for the related food safety in GMS countries, thereby contributing to sustainable agricultural growth in the region. At TA completion, it is expected that
(i) basic awareness about advanced agricultural science and technology and related food safety issues will be increased among key stakeholders in GMS countries,
(ii) the technical capacity of the relevant institutions in GMS will be strengthened, and
(iii) appropriate policy and regulatory frameworks will be enhanced in GMS countries.
